Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit

The Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit (EIAA) course aims to empower training participants on predicting, evaluating and mitigating the impact on the environment of a proposed project, program or policy prior to its commencement as well as to approve only environmentally acceptable undertakings. The course highlights EIAA as a mechanism for avoiding or mediating some of the potential costs of a proposed development. The course will lead to a complete understanding of the theory and practice of EIAA. It also examines the technical and policy issues involved in the production and the appraisal of environmental impact assessments. The course will address on the ecology of human societies and the social impact of the development on communities and regions.
